Training.gov.au
Training.gov.au (TGA) is the official database of Vocational Education and Training in Australia. TGA is the official National Register of information on Training Packages, Qualifications, Courses, Units of Competency and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and has been developed for experienced training sector users.
Australian Skills Quality Authority
The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is the national regulator for Australia’s vocational education and training sector. ASQA regulates courses and training providers to ensure nationally approved quality standards are met.
Training Services NSW
The branch of the NSW Department of Education and Communities that deals with funding through a variety of government services aimed at the training industry – includes AAT, SSP and the upcoming Smart and Skilled funding model for NSW.
Department of Education and Training (DET)
The Department of Education and Training is responsible for national policies and programmes that help Australians access quality early childhood education, school education, higher education, vocational education and training, international education and research. It came into existence following the separation of Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) on September 18, 2013.
All things employment are now handled by the Department of Employment. This latter department is charged with responsibilities for national policies and programmes that help Australians find and keep employment and work in safe, fair and productive workplaces.
